Manchester United’s Bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka Rejected by Crystal Palace

Manchester United have been knocked back in their approach to sign Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, after the Eagles rejected a £40m bid.

United made a bid for the England Under-21 international on Friday night, but the Telegraph report that the bid was swiftly turned down by Palace’s hierarchy.

It’s claimed that United may need to up their bid to around £60m for chairman Steve Parish to even consider selling one of the Eagles' most valuable assets, who is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2022.

Wan-Bissaka himself has been coy over his future, saying recently: “I am with Crystal Palace at the moment. That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season. I have got three left on my contract. It says I am going to be there, so that is all I can focus on now.”

It’s unclear whether United will return with an improved bid, but Wan-Bissaka is said to be one of the club’s ‘principle’ transfer targets following the release of captain Antonio Valencia.

Chelsea Renew Interest in Bayer Leverkusen Winger Leon Bailey

Chelsea have revived their long standing interest in Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, following the departure of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge throughout last summer, but the switch failed to materialise - and instead, Bailey stayed put in the Bundesliga to help Leverkusen qualify for next season’s Champions League.

A move could be on the cards this summer, though, with Sportsmail reporting that Bailey is back on Chelsea’s radar, despite having an £80m price tag placed against his name.

Bailey’s ability to play on both wings is a trait that Chelsea are believed to be keen on, though any move will depend on the outcome of an appeal lodged to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over the club’s proposed year-long transfer ban.

Christian Pulisic has already joined the Blues after agreeing a £57m from Borussia Dortmund back in January, while Callum Hudson-Odoi is poised to sign a new long-term contract despite being at loggerheads with the club for the majority of the season over a proposed switch to Bayern Munich.

Tottenham to Launch Ryan Sessegnon Move at Conclusion of Under-21 European Championship

Tottenham have long been linked with a move for Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon, and it seems they will pursue a deal at the conclusion of the European Under-21 Championship.

The 19-year-old played a starring in Fulham’s promotion winning campaign two years ago, garnering interest from all around the country.

He struggled to adapt to the rigours of Premier League football last season, however, and was in and out of the Fulham side as they were relegated from the top flight at the first time of asking.

Sessegnon recently stated that he will not sign a new contract at Craven Cottage, and football.london now claim that Spurs will make their move once the winger returns from international duty this summer.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to have interest in Sessegnon, but he is said to be keen to remain in London and work under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino.

Liverpool to Allow Harry Wilson Departure After Setting £21m Price Tag

Liverpool are prepared to allow young winger Harry Wilson to leave Anfield on a permanent basis - providing interested parties stump up £21m.

The 22-year-old excelled in the Championship last season under the guidance of former England midfielder Frank Lampard, helping Derby to the Championship playoff final.

Wilson is keen on proving himself at Anfield, but the <i>Mirror</i> report that the Reds are more likely to cash-in on him this summer, with a number of clubs interested in a permanent deal.

The report claims that Liverpool want £21m for his services, alerting several clubs in the Bundesliga - including Champions League bound RB Leipzig, as well as TSG Hoffenheim.
