The 2019 Betfred Cup final did not disappoint as Celtic triumphed in a nail-biting narrow victory at Hampden Park this afternoon.
French defender Christopher Jullien scored the only goal of the game as he poked home from close range - but replays showed the 26-year-old appeared to be fractionally offside when the cross came in.
Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster was the hero of the afternoon however as the on-loan Southampton man saved an Alfredo Morelos penalty as well as a host of other shots to ensure his team lifted the trophy in the torrential rain.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard will be wondering how his team came away empty-handed on a heartbreaking day for the resurgent Gers.

You're not likely to see conditions this poor for another cup final this season - not that Celtic captain Scott Brown minded!
Scott Brown might just be the most Scottish man in the world 😂— Fitba on BT Sport (@btsportfootball) December 8, 2019
Chucking it down with rain. About 5°c. He strolls out in short sleeves 👏
