Michael Owen, a co-commentator on Premier League coverage, is a former England international striker who scored 40 goals in 89 appearances for his country.
He became the youngest player to represent England in the 20th century when he made his debut in 1998 at 18 years and 59 days of age and, at the time, was the youngest player to score for his country.
He was rewarded for his efforts on the pitch with the prestigious Ballon d’Or award in 2001 after helping Liverpool scoop the UEFA Cup, FA Cup and League Cup treble.
Michael spent eight years of his playing career at Anfield before spells at Real Madrid, Newcastle and Manchester United where he was part of the 2010/11 Premier League title-winning squad.
He ended his playing days at Stoke last season.
