Tennis legend Martina is widely regarded as the greatest female player of all time after winning 18 Grand Slam singles titles, 31 major women’s double titles (an all-time record) and 10 major mixed doubles titles over the course of a magnificent playing career, which spanned four decades.

Martina, who is BT Sport’s tennis expert and tournament commentator and interviewer, reached the Wimbledon singles final on 12 occasions, including nine consecutive years from 1982 through 1990, winning the title a record nine times.

She became the oldest player ever to win a Grand Slam title at the US Open in 2006 when, at 49 years old, she triumphed in the mixed doubles championship with Bob Bryan.

Since laying down her racquet, Martina has been involved in various charity projects and also spent a stint in the jungle as a contestant on ITV’s television show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
