Conor McGregor v Nate Diaz at UFC 196 is the hottest ticket in town this weekend and BT Sport is the only place to watch all the drama exclusively live.

Subscribers can live stream UFC 196: McGregor v Diaz in its entirety right here on or the BT Sport app by simply bookmarking this page and then following the link above at 1am on Sunday.

A bumper card in Las Vegas also sees Holly Holm return to the octagon for the first time since sending shockwaves through the MMA world with her brutal KO of Ronda Rousey as she faces Miesha Tate in her maiden bantamweight title defence.

The appetiser is provided by a pair of light-heavyweight contests – Gian Villante v Ilir Lafiti and Corey Anderson v Tom Lawlor - plus Amanda Nunes v Valentina Shevchenko, also in the women’s bantamweight division.

However, fight fans will be most intrigued to find out what McGregor has in store for Diaz after his astonishing 13-second demolition of Jose Aldo at UFC 194.

The featherweight champion was initially expected to face lightweight king Rafael dos Anjos in a historic cross-division title bout at UFC 196 but the Brazilian was forced to withdraw with a broken foot, prompting Diaz to step in as a late replacement.

McGregor punches Diaz at UFC 196 press conference

With emotions between the pair already running high, McGregor ratcheted up the tension another notch on Thursday by punching Diaz’s outstretched fist at a fiery press conference encounter.

The left-handed Diaz certainly appeared to feel the full force of the cuffing blow to his right hand, leaving neutrals hoping his striking game will not be compromised on Saturday night.

Much has been made of McGregor’s decision to step up two weight classes for this fight, but he was in typically bullish mood when BT Sport caught up with him for an exclusive chat earlier this week.

“It was my decision. And I’m still going to make it look easy,” said McGregor when quizzed about the 25lbs jump up to welterweight.

“I see many, many errors in his game. I see many tells. I will lead him into dangerous, dangerous waters.

“If you’ve been following me or Nate, you’ll have noticed there were subtle digs that Nate threw many times at me where he spoke like he was going to do something if we ever faced each other.

McGregor and Diaz trade barbs at UFC 196 press conference

“Maybe he thought I didn’t see them but I did. I saw them and I went and hunted him down, like prey, and now I have him. I’ve caught him. And now I've caught him, he’s quiet, like a mouse or a scared little brother.

“Usually he has a bullying mentality. He shrugs his shoulders. Not this time. I sense Nate is just a scared little boy.

“He shouldn’t have spoken out of turn and he certainly shouldn’t have answered the phone that day when Dos Anjos pulled out.”

McGregor 'open' to fight with Floyd Mayweather

McGregor has also been on the receiving end of some verbal barbs from Diaz’s elder brother Nick – currently serving an 18-month ban after failing a drugs test at UFC 183 - in the build-up to the fight.

The Irishman revealed that he would be more than happy to tackle him if and when, as the bookies expect, he gets the job done against the younger sibling.

“I probably would have chosen Nick over Nate had Nick not been banned,” said McGregor.

“I feel by the time it’s all said and done I’ll have slapped the head off both Nate and Nick. It’s inevitable.”

As well as the tough talking, McGregor is not averse to making predictions about how he is going to win fights and insisted this week that he intends to knock Diaz out inside the opening minute.

Will he deliver on his promise? Make sure you join us on Saturday night to find out.
