Urban Rugby Squad works with all 12 Premiership Rugby clubs to inspire young people living in deprived urban and rural areas to get more active, develop key life skills and be better equipped to deal with the challenges in their lives.

As well as improving their participation in rugby, the project will teach the core values of rugby – teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship, through mentorship from session coaches.

The project will culminate in an Urban Rugby Squad festival where young people from different areas will meet and compete. Participants will also take part in a transition day where young people will be signed up to training and employability programmes.
