The Supporters Club is celebrating its three-year anniversary this summer and thanks to monthly donations from BT Sport customers we have been able to transform lives in that time.
BT Sport’s charitable initiative has raised over £6m for more than 40 charities by using sport to help disadvantaged young people in the UK and overseas.
Alongside partners including the Premier League, NBA and Premiership Rugby, along with our own volunteers, The Supporters Club has been able to support 20,000 young people.
During the past three years BT Sport have made a variety of films for The Supporters Club, showcasing the fantastic work being done in this area.
Some of the biggest names in sport, such as Rio Ferdinand, Brian O’Driscoll and Clare Balding, have given their time to visit projects, inspire young people and support the programme mentors.
Sport will continue to be play a major role in supporting our objective to raise £1billion for good causes by 2020, while also inspiring two-thirds of our people to volunteer.
Donations from BT and our customers are invested into projects selected in partnership with Comic Relief, as we aim to build a better world through sport.
When customers sign up to BT Sport, they are able to make a recurring £1, £3 or £5 monthly subscription to The Supporters Club to help support projects.
If you already have BT Sport and you would like to set up a recurring monthly donation, it's easy to set up and hassle free as we collect donations via customers' BT bills.
Alternatively you can make a one off donation via MyDonate.
Together we work to improve the lives of young disadvantaged people through achievement in school, tackling exploitation and abuse, and increasing skills, opportunities and employment.
The Supporters Club works alongside global partners to support over charities in the UK, Sub-Sahara Africa, Brazil and India.
