Russell Westbrook edges closer to NBA history

Russell Westbrook moved closer to NBA history with his 34th triple-double of the season for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Westbrook scored 24 points, had 10 rebounds and made 16 assists to lead the Thunder to a 123-102 win over the Toronto Raptors – their fourth on the bounce.

Moreover, he is now only seven triple-doubles behind Oscar Robertson’s record of 41 for most in an NBA season, going back to the 1960s.

LeBron James never fails to deliver for the Cleveland Cavaliers as he produced another fine performance in a 91-83 win over the Utah Jazz.

James scored 33 points, with 10 rebounds, though the Cavs’ night was soured by injuries to Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert.

The Golden State Warriors made it back-to-back wins after a recent run of defeats by beating the Orlando Magic 122-92.

The Brooklyn Nets enjoyed a 121-110 derby win over the New York Knicks, Mike Conley led the Memphis Grizzlies to a 103-91 win over the Atlanta Hawks while Will Barton’s 35 points inspired a 129-114 win for the Denver Nuggets over the Los Angeles Clippers.
