How to get BT Sport

Great sport happens here at BT Sport, and we’re looking forward to you joining us for some spectacular live sporting action.
  • BT Sport will be broadcast live from our state-of-the-art studios on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

    There are a number of different ways for people to enjoy great live sport with BT Sport, and we’re here to run down all the possible options so you can choose the best one for your home.

    There are three ways to get BT Sport:

    1. Through the Sky Digital Satellite Platform
    2. Through BT TV via your aerial or BT Infinity fibre optic broadband
    3. Via the BTSport.com website and our mobile/tablet app

     

    Remember, if you’re connected to one of BT’s broadband products (BT Broadband or BT Infinity), BT Sport is FREE (BT Sport Standard Terms apply)

     

    SKY TV BOX

    (Connected to the Sky Digital Satellite Platform, with an active viewing card)

    • Channels: BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN
    • What do I need? A Sky TV box with an active viewing card. You’ll need to quote your viewing card number when you order to have BT Sport added to your package
    • HD or SD? Channels will be available in both High Definition and Standard Definition, with HD available to customers with a black Sky box.
    • Cost: BT Sport in SD is FREE to BT Broadband/Infinity customers, with HD available at £3.00 per month.  For non-BT Broadband/Infinity customers, BT Sport will cost £12.00 a month for SD or £15.00 a month for HD
    • Is this the option for me? If you want to keep your Sky box, or have your broadband served by a different provider, you can simply add BT Sport’s channels to your existing package

     

    BT TV

    BT YOUVIEW BOX (connected to BT Infinity)

    • Channels:  You get BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN
    • What do I need? A BT TV subscription with a BT YouView box, connected to BT Infinity
    • HD or SD? You can get all three channels in high definition via YouView on Infinity
    • Cost: BT Sport is FREE to all BT TV customers with YouView on Infinity.  You can choose from all four TV packages on Infinity: TV Essential (£5.00 per month), Essential Extra (£7.00 per month), TV Unlimited (£12.50 per month) and Unlimited Extra (£15.00 per month).  BT Sport is available for FREE on all four packages, subject to you having BT Broadband and a minimum of 12 months remaining on your contract when you order
    • Is this the option for me? If you can get BT Infinity in your area, this is the best option for you.  You get all three BT Sport channels with all the benefits of the latest YouView technology, coupled with the high-speed internet provided by BT Infinity

    Choose a BT TV and BT Infinity package with free BT Sport

     

    BT VISION+ BOX (connected to BT Infinity)

    • Channels: You get BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN
    • What do I need? A BT TV subscription with a BT Vision+ box, connected to BT Infinity
    • HD or SD? You can get all three channels in high definition via BT Vision+ on Infinity
    • Cost: BT Sport is FREE to all BT TV customers with BT Vision on Infinity.  You can choose from all four TV packages on Infinity: TV Essential (£5.00 per month), Essential Extra (£7.00 per month), TV Unlimited (£12.50 per month) and Unlimited Extra (£15.00 per month).  BT Sport is available for FREE on all four packages, subject to you having BT Broadband and a minimum of 12 months remaining on your contract when you order
    • Is this the option for me? If you can get BT Infinity in your area and already have a BT Vision+ box, you can get BT Sport without having to upgrade your equipment.  You get all three BT Sport channels, coupled with the high-speed internet provided by BT Infinity

    Choose a BT TV and BT Infinity package with free BT Sport

     

    BT VISION+ BOX (connected to your TV aerial)

    • Channels: BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 (+ ESPN available via online/app)
    • What do I need? A BT TV subscription with a BT Vision+ box, connected to a TV aerial
    • HD or SD? BT Sport is only available in standard definition via your TV aerial
    • Cost: FREE to BT TV customers with BT Vision, but you will need a BT Sport viewing card, which costs a one-off fee of £10.00. TV Essential for BT Broadband customers costs £5.00 per month and TV Unlimited costs £12.50 per month.  BT Sport is available on both packages for FREE, subject to you having BT Broadband and a minimum of 12 months remaining on your contract when you order
    • Is this the option for me? If BT Infinity isn’t available in your area and you don’t have a Sky box, this is the option for you to watch BT Sport 1 and 2 on your TV via your television aerial

    Choose a BT TV with BT Broadband package

     

    ONLINE (via BTSport.com and the BT Sport mobile/tablet app)

    • Channels: BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, ESPN
    • What do I need? Connection to the internet
    • HD or SD? N/A
    • Cost: BT Sport online is only available to BT Broadband or BT Sport on Sky customers.  The service is FREE as part of those packages.  You’ll need your BT ID login to access the premium areas of the website and app (including live TV streaming).     • Is this the option for me? Every BT Sport customer receiving our channels via one of the options above can also receive BT Sport via this method, ensuring you can follow all the great sport that happens with us, wherever you are in the UK. Stream the action to your PC or Mac, or watch on the move via your tablet or smartphone
