Remi Allen's second-half goal extended Birmingham City Ladies' unbeaten league streak to five games after their 1-0 victory over Notts County Ladies at the Automated Technology Group Stadium.

After a goalless first half, the Blues took the lead on 51 minutes as Notts goalkeeper Carly Telford could only parry Jo Potter's effort into the path of Allen who tapped in from close range.

Birmingham should have doubled their lead moments later as Potter failed hit the target after Telford saved Emily Westwood's volley. The home side remain third in the FA Women's Super League, a point behind Chelsea while Notts County lie in sixth.
