BT Sport reveals first televised Scottish Premiership fixture of 2018/19 season

Fresh from a summer of live Betfred Cup action, the BT Sport cameras will be at Fir Park to see if Motherwell can upset Steven Gerrard's Rangers.

Rangers’ trip to Motherwell is set to be the first Ladbrokes Premiership match shown exclusively live on BT Sport in the 2018/19 season.

The game has been pencilled in for Sunday, August 26th, with live coverage of the 12.30pm kick-off commencing at 11.45am on BT Sport 1 HD, BTSport.com and the BT Sport app.

New Rangers boss Steven Gerrard will be hoping to continue the Glasgow giants’ impressive record at Fir Park, where they have lost on just one of their last 22 visits in all competitions.

However, BT Sport subscribers don’t have to wait that long to get their first fix of the new Scottish football season.

BT Sport is the exclusive live home of the Betfred Cup and will be showing multiple group-stage matches in the coming weeks, starting with Kilmarnock v St Mirren on Friday, July 13th.

The following fixtures have already been confirmed:

Kilmarnock v St Mirren – Friday, July 13th (7.30pm, BT Sport 1 HD/4K UHD)
Raith Rovers v Hearts – Saturday, July 21st (2.45pm, BT Sport 2 HD)
Dundee v Dunfermline – Sunday, July 22nd (2.45pm, BT Sport 2 HD/4K UHD)
Clyde v Motherwell – Saturday, July 28th (2.45pm, BT Sport 2 HD/4K UHD)
Hearts v Inverness – Sunday, July 29th (2.45pm, BT Sport 2 HD/4K UHD)

Details of further Ladbrokes Premiership games set to be televised on BT Sport will be released in the coming weeks.

BT Sport shows at least 24 live Ladbrokes Premiership games per season, plus six play-off games, and is also the exclusive live UK home of the Betfred Cup. Find out how to get BT Sport ahead of the new campaign here.
