BT Sport will kick off its live televised coverage of the new FA Women’s Super League season with a mouth-watering Merseyside derby.
Everton Ladies will make their top-flight return against local rivals Liverpool Ladies on Friday, September 22nd.
The clash, which will kick off at 7.45pm, is set to usher in a landmark campaign for women’s club football in the UK.
For the first time ever, the WSL 1 and WSL 2 will follow a winter calendar after the decision was taken to move away from the summer format that has existed in the six years since the leagues’ inception.
The FA WSL Spring Series was contested earlier this year to bridge the gap created by the switch and the BT Sport cameras will be with the two teams who finished second and third in that one-off competition on matchday two.
Manchester City Women – minus Toni Duggan following her recent move to Barcelona – are set to welcome Arsenal Ladies on Saturday, September 30th (kick-off 12.30pm).
Both matches will be shown on TV, on BTSport.com and on the award-winning BT Sport app, with full channel details to be revealed in due course.
BT Sport is the lead broadcast partner and sponsor of the FA Women’s Super League.
