BT Sport will broadcast the first Anglo-Welsh Cup clash of the season when Bath Rugby host Leicester Tigers at The Rec on Friday, November 4.
Back after a one-year absence due to the Rugby World Cup, the Anglo-Welsh Cup makes a welcome return to the English rugby calendar.
This season the competition will be shown live on BT Sport for the first time, with BT committing to double the amount of live TV coverage.
On the first weekend, BT Sport will be at The Rec for the big kick-off before moving to the Twickenham Stoop the next day to show Exeter Chiefs’ trip to the capital to take on Harlequins.
The following weekend will see live and exclusive coverage when Bristol Rugby host Sale Sharks.
“Everyone at Premiership Rugby is delighted to see the return of the Anglo-Welsh competition and the clubs can't wait to get started,” said Phil Winstanley, Rugby Director at Premiership Rugby.
“The competition has played a huge role in the development of young talent in both England and Wales.
“England's recent success in the Under-20s World Cup shows there is a depth of talent in English rugby like never before and I can't wait to see the current crop get their chance in first team rugby via the Anglo-Welsh Cup.”
